An international art-forum “Winter unsleepiness» organized  an art-breakfast . Many artists from different countries lived  a whole week in the center of Saint-Petersburg and after that they expressed their  emotions on the canvases. Moreover, photographers took a part in the competition for the best psychological portrait of the artist at the work. An incredible energy of creativity predominance  this day in the photo gallery «Rachmaninov garden».

The founder of the French classical operetta Jacque Offenbach (1819 – 1880) – the brilliant composer, the connoisseur of a scene, the inexhaustible melodist, the master of theatrical grotesque, the ironic romanticist, the caustic satirist … Offenbach who has written about hundred of operettas, hasn’t simply created this genre, but also has lifted it to unsurpassed heights. Not everything, including the most sacred and conclusive became object of satire hardly probable: antique myths, gods, heroes, Christian morals, the French emperor, the German empire, operating politicians …
In the most well-known operetta «Fine Elena» (1864) Offenbach deduces on a scene of heroes of an Ancient Greek myth. Trojan tsarevitch Paris has fallen in love with most beautiful of women – Fine Elena, the wife of Spartan tsar Menelaja – and has stolen it, having provoked Trojan war. In Offenbach’s interpretation the plot of an antique myth has laid down in a basis of the juicy love story full not only irony, a parody, but also the sincere lyrics, live feeling.
In performance of theater “World behind the looking-glass” action occurs in 30th years of the last century, and characters gather for film shootings on a plot about Fine Elena. In the version of theater of the relation of heroes repeat peripetias of an operetta of Offenbach.

This work is unusual. Public will come not simply on a premiere, and on student’s examination, thus will see scale performance accompanied by an orchestra, with interesting scenography and a plastic arts, the refined light score. During rehearsals at my students-fourth-year students of Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy the transcription of a myth was born: sacrifice – the traditional mythological motive which is present and in «Fine Elena» is a pure ritual, and any ritual can be played. And not simply to play, but also to remove. So there was an idea to place action on a set, and characters – in new measurement: tsars Agamemnon and Menelaj became film producers, the main priest of a temple of Zevsa, Kalhas – certainly, the director, and Elena has turned to the film star, the movie star. And in this world Paris is to pull out from here Elena and to take away in the country. After all the goddess Aphrodite has promised to it love of the most beautiful woman … the Huge head of Aphrodite as a certain artifact rises in the scene center, and in In the ending of performance it will break up into parts. Exile of Parisa attracts total destruction: falling of Greece, and in our plot – film studio crash. And, of course, the love falls. Certainly, Offenbach is satiric. But at it near to a parody to the French history and a policy there lives a pure, sincere theme of love. The satirist at all doesn’t win the lyric poet Offenbach.
We tried to make distinct art volume оффенбаховской operettas. Therefore and in performance some semantic layers. We «Fine Elena» is an attempt by modern eyes to read an Ancient Greek myth, which gossips with adventurous history. And the plot of an antique myth is lived by the people who even not aren’t suspecting that have appeared in its channel … Will add that performance will be played both student’s structure, and actors of troupe of “World behind the looking-glass”.
