The capital of Finland, Helsinki, becoming quite rapidly the cultural center of Europe. Major art events constantly take place there and soon they may to compare with analogs in London and Paris.

No sooner had all the artists and gallery owners a break from the largest event in the world of culture – ART IN HELSINKI, which was held in early September, as in mid-October, came the first ArtForum in Helsinki! The first panecake, according to the Russian proverb often lumpy. This expression not about the event that we were happy to visit. This is the first event of such kind and is not yet possible to predict its development, the concept is quite new.

In our opinion, the most interesting and romantic way to get to Finland – a journey on ferry. From the center of Saint-Petersburg to Helsinki, permanent and in a very convenient time, ferry runs ….

Today, all advanced audience, especially if they considers themselves fashionable and intellectual, visiting the capitals or small towns of foreign countries should go to the local flea market on Saturday or Sunday morning.

After all, there you can feel particularly atmosphere and history of people living in this area! Visiting this bazaars of the old stuff, you probably will get a special feeling and mood, quite different from the one you get, even while visiting famous museum. After all, here you can touch eberythung and communicate with the seller and, necessarily bargain with seller, and maybe even buy something.

Helsinki flea market certainly can’t compare in scale with Paris, London or other major capitals in the world, but here there is something to see, something to wonder. Prices are especially nice : antique furniture and many fun and nice things are much cheaper than in Russia.

But for blue tricycle of my childhood with large thin tires, which are not inflated, with the inscription “Leningrad” I had to pay € 90, after bargain, the starting price was € 170. Now it will be shown at the country house cottage as an art object, causing delight children and guests.

In January 20 till January 23 international touristic exhibition “MATKA-2011″ took place in Helsinki. This huge event in the world of tourism unites participants from different countries. Favorable conditions for successful cooperation of all touristic business’ representatives are created here. Touristic exhibition is always a very important event for Finnish people. This has been noticed long ago by stand organizers, who are trying their best to represent their country or company in the most creative way.
