On the 11th of September in the House of Jewish Culture YESOD took place the opening of concert and theater season and together with the International Festival of Limmud Petersburg ’2011 closing, where with great public success performed the world-famous pianist Leonid Ptashka, accompanied by top jazz musicians in St. Petersburg: Alexander Beschastnyi and Garii Bagdasarian. Despite the fact that the musicians had little time for rehearsal, as Leonid Ptashka no longer lives in Russia, the concert was amazing and extremely dynamical!

During  four days (September 18-22) in Jerusalem took place the 2nd International Theatre Festival “Vertical”.

On three stage platforms there were presented monoperformances “Kysya” (Vsevolod Chubenko – “Your House”, Vologda, Russia), “The magnificent St.-Petersburg” (Yuri Tomoshevsky – St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society for Children and Youth, St. Petersburg, Russia) “Teza from our yard” (Vitaly Bondarev – “Langeron” theatre, Kharkov, Ukraine), “desdeMONA” (Yolanda Yushkevich – Kropka Theatre, Poland – Australia), “Hasidic tales” (Annette Tabachnikova – “Three directions” theatre Jerusalem, Israel), “War has not a  face” (Alexander Komrakova – “A partnership of actors” theatre, Ashdod, Israel), a puppet show for children in Hebrew, “Saul-shiul” (Meir Bobek, Israel).

During the festival “Vertical”  the Israel artists exhibitions were held.
